The Background
As you'd expect, the garden of this typical suburban semi more often resembled a mud bath than a beautifully manicured lawn after the household's 2 aspiring Beckhams and their friends had given it their all for 90 minutes (plus extra time and penalties when required!!).
Whilst the parents didn't want to discourage their future stars from pursuing their dreams, they also wanted a garden they could enjoy and so in order to give the grass the necessary opportunity to recover, "postponements" became unavoidable - meaning the boys and their team-mates were restricted to "kicking their heels" - not a good state of affairs - particularly for the parents who then had to find alternative ways to keep their budding future England Captains entertained!!
The Solution
When they turned to The
AG Grass Co. for help, we saved the day with AG 4-Life.
First the area was fully de-turfed, levelled and prepared. The Geotex membrane
was laid and then the carpet was positioned, joints sealed and thoroughly
cleaned and brushed in readiness for the rubber granule infill to be added.
Result
We've transformed a perennial problem into a perfect pitch where fixtures are never at the mercy of the weather and postponements only ever occur through players unavailability from "parental punishments" ( i.e. unable to get to the ground due to being grounded!!). We've also given the parents a beautiful, maintenance free garden that they can enjoy when their offspring have departed the Stadium of Dreams for the "Land of Dreams"!!
